Thinking Past and the Selden Map

We’re in the process of reworking much of this site, so apologies for some of the pages that are under construction.  Like all of us, I’m working on finding that balance between the virtual and the real or perhaps more precisely on-screen and off-screen interactions.

PULSE 2014

One way of balancing between the two, if you happen to be in Savannah, Georgia or nearby, is to come to the PULSE festival this weekend (January 29-February 2) at the Jepson Center.

This is a fantastic event every year, and great fun for all ages.  The museum is free all weekend, and it will be packed with interesting events and installations.

We have an interactive installation in one of the galleries about the Selden Map including a couple of short films, an iPad application and an exhibition of the board game Fujian Trader (based on the Selden Map).  There will be some live in the gallery game sessions for those interested, and we’ll be giving a talk on Friday at 11.  The gift store is also carrying copies of my book if you want to check it out.

For those of you who aren’t near Savannah this weekend, stay warm, and I’ll put some photos and video up here soon of the event.  More to come on the Selden Map as well.
