Sari Gilbert is a designer, entrepreneur and educator with over twenty years of experience in interactive entertainment. Ms. Gilbert began her career as the producer and designer of the top-selling JumpStart titles, Preschool and Kindergarten and was a Senior Producer at Disney Online, where she helped found and build the subscription service for families. She has also founded three Internet based technology companies. Ms. Gilbert is a professor at the Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD) in the department of Interactive and Game Design where she is developing game-based learning projects with scientists, historians and STEM faculty at several universities in the region. Ms. Gilbert has run gamification workshops for universities, middle and high school educators and museums. Ms. Gilbert has a BA from the University of California at Berkeley, an MA from Columbia University’s Teachers College in Educational Technology, and an MFA in Motion Media Studies from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Dr. Robert Batchelor
Dr. Robert Batchelor is an historian whose work focuses on the history of East Asia and its influences on 17th century Europe. He is known for his discovery of the Selden Map of China, a treasure of the Bodleian Library. He is the author of the book London: The Selden Map and the Making of a Global City, 1549-1689. Robert has taught at Stanford University and currently holds the position of associate professor of history at Georgia Southern University. Jennifer McSpadden is an artist from Atlanta, Georgia. Jennifer brings a wide set of media production skills ranging from film production, post production management and direction, visual effects and motion capture. In addition to her production skills, Jennifer is also a skilled game designer and 3D modeler. Jennifer received her BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in 2009 in Film and Television and is finishing her MFA at SCAD in Visual Effects. Her graduate work focusses on generating procedural building interiors for use in video game engines. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lingling Chen recently left Yangzhou, China to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design. Ms. Chen is a product designer with extensive skills in industrial design. She is skilled at both designing and producing physical products and prototypes. Ms. Chen has her MA in Furniture Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Wes Johnson is a graphic designer and production designer with a wide range of skills in branding, logo design, website design, packaging and product design. In addition to his digital skills, Wes, who is originally from Brownsburg, Indiana has several years of experience building physical prototypes. Wes received his BFA in Graphic Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Corey Zanotti is an interactive designer and programmer who develops interactive systems and games for a variety of platforms. Corey’s brings a sophisticated understanding of aesthetics, usability and technical know how to the Thinking Past team. Corey, originally from Columbus, Ohio holds a BFA in Interactive and Game Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Nina Park is a producer and game designer Originally from Oahu, Hawaii. Nina has worked on several successful game projects as a part of class projects, student design competitions, and early game start-ups. Nina has proven that she can lead a game design project and see it through from start to finish. She is currently finishing her BFA in Interactive and Game Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
